Payment with RinGO app in NCP car park

Hello all
I parked for work yesterday (06/03/14) thinking my parking was covered by a ringo payment which I made a few days ago. I parked in an NCP part of a larger car park which did state to pay at the NCP machines but like all of the car park there are signs stating to pay at machines but I ignore these as I pay with the app instead. I, however, returned to the dreaded yellow window of disappointment. I normally park in a different section but this was full unlike the NCP bit which I now understand why!
Do I have a leg to stand on when using the app and not being told anywhere that this was not accepted or should I just suck it up and pay the £35 which I appreciate is not the highest fine I have seen on these forums but is still an extortionate amount of money for what my "crime" is.
Many thanks for any help and comments.

No you don't have to pay that amount because that is not their loss should the ringo payment not cover it. I would wait for the Notice to Keeper to arrive which must be with you between days 29-56, once you have it send in an appeal to them, you can find the wording to use in coupon mad's sticky thread for newbies.
Whilst you are there read the entire thread as it will give you a good grounding for this scam, you will find everything you need in the thread. If you have any questions come back here. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Do I have a leg to stand on
You do - but NCP don't when faced with our forum appeal templates! We win every POPLA appeal.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I use Ringo quite a lot but I always check the signs to make sure the car park number is correct.0

Thanks to you guys who posted back. I don't think the NCP bays were covered by ringgo in this case but I appreciate from what I have read this is not necessarily the point.

It's not the point and the template appeal doesn't mention details. You will win because of what NCP do wrong in their fake PCN processes, not because of the circumstances!
However as this is NCP and they recently denied a POPLA code to a keeper who waited (and the BPA agreed with them) I would send the template appeal NOW. See the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
