Does Safestyle Windows quote really mean this, or is it just a play on words? For example, if my house has 8 windows, do I only pay for 4? Are their windows much dearer than any other company? And is the old saying true- if it seems too good to be true, then it IS
:smileyhea A SMILE COSTS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Well, if they can do that and still make a profit or break even then they are overcharging in the first place. I would get a quote and compare them with other companies - both on price and reputation/quality. Also watch out for any long term loan tricks.0

would anyone really want to deal with a company with such annoying ads0

I have to agree with nickj. Whenever I've seen the ads I ask myself what kind of people would choose to use such a company when there are hundreds of quieter & more refined double glazing companies out there.
These ads make the company appear cheap & tacky to my mind.
The other old saying to remember is you gets what you pay for.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I was approached by someone similar, a normal upvc door costs around 400 pounds from anywhere and they told me there doors start at 800+ as they are energy rated and safe and secure. For 800 pounds I would rather have a rock door in instead of a upvc.0

Whatever confusion marketing they use all that matters is how much money you will pay them.
A colleague had a BOGOF quote from them and it was £1,000 more than he evetually paid and he only bought two large windows.0 -
Don't get a quote from them, I made the mistake home visit, 2 hours later with various samples of windows brought in, ending in a only for today special price ( which was 33% more than the company we finally went with ) if that was not enough.
For 6 Months later many phone calls from uncle tom cobbly and all asking have we made our mind up. this same company.:eek:There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly repliesPlease excuse me Spell it MOST times:A UK Resident :A0 -
I must admit, it's the type of company I (and most others) would probably avoid.
We got new windows 3 1/2 years ago. We called in 3 local companies, and none of us put us under any pressure. Simple visit, discussion while going around the house, measurements, quote followed within days (because we asked them all to be quick). We chose the company we liked and asked them to match the lower quote. We were happy.0 -
I had Safestyle give me a quote. They gave me the hard sell with a one day only offer. We actually bought the windows from them. The windows were very good and they did a good fitting service.
They weren't the cheapest but we got what we paid for.0 -
Go for a small local company, so you aren't paying the salary of salesmen or for tv advertising.0

R U serious ????
Advertisers tell lies...... there is no such thing as 2 4 1, no BOGOF not discounted wine in the suoermarket, no special offers really.
Safestyle price list is loaded by approx 1700% over cost prices. Why, so they can pay salesman and fitters high commissions, so they pay for £34,000 TV adverts between Corry and Eats Enders, its all a crock.
Get a few quotes from 2-3 companies, do not believe the salesmans offers of 'sign up tonight special offers'. Managers phone calls, this price is for tonight only. Plenty of fish in the sea, and tell any saleman that you only want the best price from the start and you will let him/her know within 3-4 days. Then let them know.
Ask them which profile (plastic ) they use, are the glass units filled with argon, K Shield glass, internal beading, scares them to death.0
