Don't respond to the letter!
Leave it all to your insurer to deal with. Try not to worry!!
(If you read your policy you will see a condition regarding you passing all correspondence regarding claims against you on to the insurer unanswered)0 -
I feel so much better now, thank you for all your help. Fingers crossed this horrible experience can pass me by.
No don't open any dialogue with them whatsoever....it's not your problem..Phone your former insurers tomorrow and get the correct address to forward the letter from.just add a covering note and send.0 -

Agree with the other posters. As somebody said when I had an accident, it's what insurance is for.0

I sent the letters today along with a cover note with my reference number to my insurance company. On looking at the solicitors letter which was attached it states i failed to reply to a 'Stage 2 pack' although the letter i received yesterday was the first correspondence of any kind i have received with regards to the matter? I hope this does not impact resolving the issue swiftly.0

Very little to do with claims is resolved quickly, especially when you have people being paid by the hour involved.
As has been said, you are (allegedly) personally liable for the incident which is why the papers/ letters have to come to you. Your insurers will respond on your behalf and settle any successful claim made against you. Its nothing to worry about.
Make sure you make them aware that the papers are on their way to them so they can put a short diary on the file to make sure they are received and actioned0 -

Send all correspondence to insurer, as suggested, making no answer yourself.
The means form you've been sent is standard for any county court action, so don't worry about it.I am a mortgage broker. Just redirect it to your former insurers..and forget about it.
However, it would be a very good idea to make sure the insurer has got the letter and is dealing with it.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
