Buying a house through Bridgfords

Hi,
I'm a FTB and I'm purchasing a house through Bridgfords and been asked to arrange an appointment with them for 'Qualifying your offer'
I've asked others for advice and had they needed to go in and they have said no. Others have just said they told their estate agents they were dealing with that they had a mortgage in principle and that was all that was needed.
I have my firm mortgage appointment next week with my lender, also have my solicitor sorted.
Is this the norm? The girl has been pretty annoying so far!
Thanks

they just want to sell you their products, I would use my own. We looked at a proeprty through them, they were not very good at getting back to you. Good thing for us as we found a better property.Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Thanks, I had a feeling it may be that but thought twice when I confirmed I had my mortgage and solicitor.
Would I need to pay a deposit? And if so to them or through a solicitor?0 -
Personally we found Bridgfords very pushy - decided we wouldn't sell our property through them as they seemed to try to railroad us, so would be careful of them!0

We went for an appointment with Your Move today which sounds like it was meant to be a similar meeting. I was ready for something formal but all she did was look at our wages and deposit amount, tell us she didnt find another mortgage better (even though we repeatedly said we are using our AIP with Halifax anyway) and that was it. It was a pointless waste of time in my opinion and not helpful in the least, she didnt even give us full answers as to what we do next.0

LOL, has there ever been an estate agent who has earned their money?! We have sold houses in the past, and so have people close to me.
All the times me (and the people I know who I've spoke to about this,) have sold, we have spent A LOT more time running around, chasing searches, talking to solicitors, arranging surveys, and trying to liaise with the mortgage lender and vendors and buyers of our house, than the estate agent did.
Me and DH literally did 90% of the work the last time we sold!
I was REALLY put out as having to pay them.
Good luck though OP.0 -
Bridgfords = Countrywide.
