Timer switches

Options
Can anyone recommend a timer switch please? Reasonably priced(of course!) and one that is easy to use.

Are these safe to use?

TIA

I've used timer switches on my washer, dryer, and dishwasher to make the most of economy 7 for years and had no probs. As a safety precaution I time the the run just before we get up rather than in the dead of night but have had no probs. I've found the inexpensive dial ones available at Argos and elsewhere to be as good as the more pricey ones HTH

Are these the same ones you would use for lamps?

That's what I am looking to use it for-wasn't too clear in OP.

Yes they are safe to use.
The easiest ones to use are the mechanical ones like this one at argos.

If a mechanical rotary dial "segment" type one is suitable then get down to MORRISONS !

    TWO FOR £4

Think they are supposed to be £2.99 each
