Salzburg Advice

I'm staying in Salzburg for a couple of nights on my own (female) and am looking for some advice on what areas to stay in and avoid purely from a safety perspective. Other considerations (but of less importance) are I will be arriving and leaving from the main train station and would like to be near the touristy stuff.

If you can recommend a particular hotel too that'd be great - budget is about £60/€90 per night.

Thanks in advance!

xx

  • Hi Caz,
Salzburg is wonderful, it is only a small city and is pretty safe wherever you go.
My wife and I got married at the Mirabel Palace in Nov 2003, there is tourist stuff everywhere you go.
We stayed at a place called the Cordial Theater whick was in a superb location, we were 10 minutes from the old town, Mirabel Palace and the fortress. I havent been to a more beautiful city, it really is stunning.
