Canterbury Jobcentre Plus

Does anyone know a telephone number, which doesn't start with 0845, for Canterbury Jobcentre Plus. I tried 01227 596700 which I saw on SAYNOTO0870 without any luck. I thought there was a lot of talk about stopping 0845 numbers for jobcentres!

Even so, it seems that DWP are moving to 03 numbers gradually. I had cause to call an 0845 JobCentre Plus number a couple of weeks ago, and I got a recorded message saying it would be replaced by an 03 number in a few weeks' time. I tried the 03 number, which was already live.

However, the local office search facility is still giving the 0845 number for that office.

As far as I am aware, O300 numbers are free from a landline but not from a mobile

yes according to the info , a set of numbers are being allocated to the gov departments , replacing the 087 or 0845 by o3XX will get you thru

You can't just change the 08 to 03 to get the new number. In the example I gave, the new 03 number has several digits different to the old 0845 number.
