Income disregard advice (Tax Credits)

Had a look at the rules regarding income increase, but none the wiser :)

OH has been temping at weekends to gain some work experience. So its only been 12hrs per week from July 2013 to Feb 2014. Total income has been roughly £2,400. She has decided to return to part-time studies, so will no longer be working from March onwards.

The increase falls below the £5,000 disregard, so the award for 2014/15 will now be based on our income for 2012/13 instead - is this right?

So what about the 2015/16 award? Will that be based on our income for 2013/14 (when she worked) or the coming tax year (2014/15).

Thank You

So, from my figures in the first post, if the rules remain unchanged:

The 2014/15 award will be based on 2012/13 income.

The 2015/16 award will be based on 2014/15 income.

Therefore 'missing' the 2013/14 income figures?

Just jumping on the band wagon, but hopefully will clarify the op questions anyway. If In 2013/14 I earned £11000 but I know in 2014/15 I'll earn 15000 and tell them that in April, will they base my Tax Credits on the new figure of £15000 or by what you say here on the £11000?
