Rental Property Tree Works against tax

I have a rental property with a large garden it has several mature trees. I have had a request from the neighbour to have the trees cut back as they reduce the light in his house. The tenants have not requested this but are happy to have the work done.
I have a quote for more than £2K to have this work done and am happy to go ahead as if my tenants to do not re-sign this year I will sell this property (if they do I will not as I believe it is their home and do not want to turn them out).
I so not want to be in dispute with the neighbour over the trees at the time of a sale, I also think that reducing the size and felling one tree will reduce a buyers anxiety regarding the trees. I have checked that with the council and no trees on the property are protected.
So, can I put the tree works against my tax bill? Clearly I will present the invoice to my accountant but I would just like some idea if anyone else has done this. I already claim the cost of the gardener against tax.

Yes you can deduct as a maintenance cost.
Check first there are no TPOs.
And I would get more quotes, that cost sounds OTT.0 -
Agree that it sounds OTT unless there are some very special issues present. We had more work than that done for less than half the price last year.0

But I'd agree that over £2K sounds like a lot to pay unless the trees are Giant Redwoods!0
