Plasterboard question

hi everyone,
Just had our survey come back for our new house, and the below has been raised, can anyone explain what it means, and if i should be worried at all? Thanks!
the plasterboard sheeting has been taped at joints and painted straight over rather
than having been skim plaster finished. On the En-Suite Shower Room it can been
seen that there has been settling down movement at junctions where jointing tape
can be identified.

Instead of platering the boards, tape has been used to 'disguise' the joins.
This is a cheap finish.
'Settlement' occurs at some point to all walls and ceilings.
It's of no structural concern tho.
Personally I would get the room plastered - especially as it's a moist room.

normally they put the plaster board up them put shrim tape on the joints then skim with plaster.
in your case the slapped a coat of paint on instead of skimming
I assume the movement is due to the paint job rather than building movement0 -
You can artex it or you can plaster it. Maybe they were intending to tile it top to bottom at a later date.0

they have just taped the joints, perfectly normal in a new houseI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Tapered joint boards. Filled, sanded, filled, sanded, painted. perfectly normal for a recently built house. How come you're already in before the report came back?0
