Tesco Everyday Value Bath and shampoo, at 46p for 500 mls. Not much of a saving but I too remember when these were 12p!!!

It wasn't that long ago they were 12p, typical T***o's bumping up prices and hoping no one notices

There are a few cheaper alternatives:

    3. Add a bit of water to some styling gel and make your own shower gel. 15p per 300ml tub (neat) - http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=255573506

This really won't work. Styling gel is not a detergent or soap and won't make shower gel.

    Give it a go.

    You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Use a nylon loofah and a sane amount of 'normal' wash when 'reduced' to 99p. Or use soap.

If you just have a small square shower rather than an over-bath or larger one the cheap wash may necessary but otherwise buying nasty washes is unnecessary (and (at 35p or 50p) is unlikely to be all that cheaper due to tendency to not bother to be careful with the amount.)

If you want the cheapest option for getting clean then I agree about a bar of sop. Works well with one of those nylon net things. I fall back on that when I'm out of shower gel.

I buy the Asda one for refilling my handwash dispensers and it's fine.

Agree about the increases though. I bough Sainsbury's own brand basic stock cubes yesterday. Over the last couple of years they've gone up from 10p to 15p and now 25p. OI know it's not the most expensive item on the shopping list but it infuriates me!
