Holiday entitlement

Hi I am planning to give up my job in July with a plan to move abroad to work in September. If I give the correct notice of one week what holiday entitlement should I receive? I work for someone who will want to give me the least he can to be honest.

It all depends on when your entitlement starts. What your entitlement is ie 28 days (min) or more?
Have you taken any holidays in this years period?
Let's say your period runs Jan - Dec, you have taken no holidays, you leave end of June (6 months) then you are owed 14 days. Bear in mind that bank hols are usually counted into the 28 days so take out those and you are left with the balance.
HTH.

whats wrong with giving the least they can? Surely thats the point of any contract...get the most out of someone whilst giving the least away possible

You seem to be implying I am trying to get something for nothing?
I have worked 50 /60 hours per week for 25 years and going to try something new!0 -
Just to add that if you work 6 months without taking any leave you will have accrued just short of 16 days0
