Is it the norm for these types of policies not to include cover for a trip that takes place in the policyholders home country for less than three days? So, for example, I'm not covered for a two night stay in London, but I am if i nip over to Dublin for two nights?!
One company regularly mentioned in MSE has such an exclusion, and I was surprised by it.

Yes its fairly common that they only cover you for stays of 2 nights or more.0

Thanks for that InsideInsurance. In my naivety I thought a multi trip policy would have had me covered for all excursions, home and abroad, however short!

Abroad yes
I believe the concern is that for UK ones is that if you go out at the weekend and lose your bag with your mobile, ipad etc in it you would then quickly book a night in a cheap b&b and then make a claim for your lost bag on your Travel policy despite you not having been on holiday at the time.0
