Holiday cancellation through illness

I have paid a £300 deposit for a holiday and the full amount has to be paid on the 1st April. My husband is ill and the decision has been made to cancel. Is there any way I could get some of the deposit back as the cancellation is for health reasons.

Speak to your holiday insurance company.
That's exactly what they are there for.

If you are lucky they may allow you to defer it (assuming the next post is going to say that you dont have insurance) but there is no obligation for them to do so

If on the off-chance you don't have insurance, another option is to read this post:
