Freehold purchase?

Just looking for a little advice on purchasing freehold of our property.
Currently property is leasehold but I enquired 12 months ago about purchasing the freehold and finally details and costs of this has come through.
Currently pay £12 per year and leasehold has approx 90 years left but we have been offered freehold for £250 plus their solicitors costs at £180.
We can get there solicitors to act on our behalf for an additional £180 but I'm a little unsure and to be honest would like to save the £180 by not having to paid this.
From what I have been told their solicitors will do the paperwork for them and I would have to do the paperwork for us,which I think would just be a the land registry side of things.
Anybody know if this is easy enough to do to save £180?

Their solicitors to work on your behalf? Isn't that a conflict of interest? Definitely wouldn't agree to that.
If you're unsure of the legals (enough to do all this on your own), get your own independent solicitor, or at least spend half hour (sometimes free) with one to discuss beforehand.
Wouldn't personally try to save money by doing it myself! Moneysaving site, yes - but it could be a very expensive mistake if you don't know what you're doing.

I think the OP is saying the freeholders want their legals paying for. This is (unfortunately) normal.0
