Ah fellow gmail users you may be able to answer this question for me.


I usually keep on top of emails as they come in and keep an empty inbox however on the days I just can't be arsed it obviously fills up like crazy.
Now other than selecting the top box which selects the 50 emails displayed on my screen and then hitting delete and repeating till they are all gone is there a quicker way of clearing the inbox?

When I select the 50 it offers the choice just underneath that to select them all "All 50 messages on this page are selected, select all **** messages in your in box"

I shall look at this when I get a fuller inbox, I only have one email at the moment ha

Hmm well that didn't work for me, still just deleted 50 messages :think:

Did you get the offer to select them all? I get it using IE9 and Chrome.

No offer to select as you stated above. If I select all it highlights no more than the 50 on my page. Very frustrating.
I'm using IE11.

Thanks for all the tips guys!

I think my filter spews loads in to it as I have "Win" as a word and so I get a load of "you could win" or "do you want to win" etc ones, I think Ill change it to just say winner and congratulations but I shall also start running a quick search before deletion as well just to be tripple sure!

Oh and 24k emails after 7 days! WOW that is intense haha

Figured it out now :j


I had to change my settings to view all messages (rather than 50 at a time) and once I did that the option to select all as you explained above came up

Strange, mine is only set to view 50 per page, at least you have a work round.
