  • We often cook stuff like sausages, pork chops, lamb chops, chicken pieces in a herby tomato sauce (same as we'd put on pasta) Delicious. Just mix it all together in a casserole dish and bung in over for 40 minutes or so.

I think the jar Bolognese or Tomato and Mushroom sauces also work well with Sausages, add a tin of beans to some browned sausages, the sauce and put in oven for 45 mins. you can season with a bit of worster sauce or BBQ sauce or even tabasco depending on taste. I realise this is a bit late for tonight - but keep in mind for the future.
it also makes a lovely sauce to cook fish in.
reduced down and thickened it makes a 'spoonable' thick sauce for any meat or fish!

Meatballs are delicious with a tomato based sauce, I fry HM or * whispers (shop bought )meatballs to colour. I then place in an oven proof dish with chopped olives or/& chorizo & add a tomato based sauce. I then grate some cheese on top & put in the oven for about half an hour.....
