Public Liability Insurance

Hi there

I'm setting up a small local magazine and I want to take some photos in a public place for the cover image. I have to get public liability insurance in order to get permission from the various parks. Can anyone recommend an insurance company who is reasonable and can do it at short notice, and whether I can just get insurance for 1 day? This is not something I'm planning on doing often.

You'd be better off asking in the Insurance forum rather than Reclaim PPI/Insurance costs section.

Contact a local broker, not Swintons, and they'll be able to arrange something. Given the simple nature it'll be able to be done same day.

Given the low risk you are representing it'll probably be cheaper to do an annual policy than keep buying one day policies each time you need them. PL is added onto my PI policy and costs the princely sum of £25 a year - standalone will be more expensive due to overheads
