She wouldn't let me take a pic of her face, I think she is still a little camera shy.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth

Thank you for the pics, she is absolutely adorable. She must be feeling slightly less stressed to let you rub her tummy like that.

She is gaining in confidence all the time, she has even started chasing things and playing :TThank you for the pics, she is absolutely adorable. She must be feeling slightly less stressed to let you rub her tummy like that.
Does anybody use a car harness? I'm thinking of getting her one so that it doesn't take two of us to take her out in the car.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth

From those lugholes, there's a bit of hare thrown in there somewhere as well.
I use a harness for Gitdog for short journeys, but not a special car one. It's his normal walking harness with a clip on thing that goes into the car seatbelt. Pets at home do them, but they're cheaper in Wilko's. This sort of thing.

For longer journeys I use a crate - Gitdog chews his harness if he's in it for too long, he seems to be able to contort himself however tight it is.
I found the "proper" seatbelt harness thing too short which led to previous mutt chewing through the seat belt. Twice. An expensive learning curve. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
She's a gorgeous girl. Love her spots & those wonderful ears. She's looking very chilled and relaxed. You're working wonders on her. Lots of happiness together.0

Good luck. I wrote on a previous thread about our 6 month old puppy who could not be left alone until the day he died aged 17. A rescue dog never forgets and needs a huge amount of dedication.pink_princess wrote: »Hi
We have just adopted a beautiful cross breed !!!!! from a rescue centre.
She is adorable with a quiet to timid nature and we have all fallen for her straight away
My concern is that she is fretting when we leave, and even if we are just going to the toilet
I mean when just one of us leaves, she won't be left alone until she is ready.
Any tips to help her feel more secure?0 -
She looks adorable. This is the harness we've got, it's made from seat belt material.

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -
Thanks for the harness advice, I've ordered an RAC one that scores well but I'm worried now that it won't fit my car after seeing a triple connection on one of those links  I'll send it back if it doesn't.
Her ears aren't as big as they look on that pic, I'm glad the poor little thing can't read. You lot would give her a complex :rotfl:Life is short, smile while you still have teeth

Lovely thread and a remark from OP re pellet size poo reminded me.
Me and adoptee went to bed, him at the foot on his own bed. I padded off to spend a penny in the night.
I'd been sorting my cosmetics that day so saw nothing on returning to my bed apart from little bath bombs which I picked up and placed on my bedside table.
I need say no more.0
