Hi. Not sure if this post is still rolling. I have paid into CPP FOR 20 years. It lapsed at one point then I resigned up. I sent my form into claim. 2 weeks ago now I've received a cheque for a lousy £59! Anyone else had this happen? I will of course appeal but could do without the hassle as I am disabled and work part time Which takes all my energy.
You need to be aware of the timescales with CPP/CPI.
The letter you got relates to any payments you have made since January 2005, and gives a refund of the payments plus 8% interest.
If you paid anything before January 2005, you need to write to the provider directly.
I had this with my NatWest credit card. There was nowhere to claim on their website, so I phoned up and they gave me an address in Essex. I wrote and got almost £200 back (on top of the £35 I was refunded directly from CPP for payments after January 2005).0 -
I completed the forms for me and my husband. I got £56 and he got £376 I think because he had more cc than me.0

Hi all. Not too sure where to go here but like you my partner received a letter from CPP to vote. I read on here through Martin to fill it out, so did. Weeks later received a cheque for £233 so brilliant. Told my partner and he said, hang on, we've claimed all we think we can claim through all our credit cards and accounts etc and he said I don't want to deposit it then soon or later on get told to pay it back because we've already claimed it. He's put off because he thinks his uncle had this sort of trouble. But to be honest we had so many cards and insurances and everything, claimed lots back which is good but unsure what this policy actually relates to. Should we NOT cash it in because we may have already claimed it????!!! Please help??!!!:(0

CPP is a different insurance and they are refunding payments made from 2005 .
If you are not sure you paid just ring them they will soon tell you.Light travels faster than sound.
This is why some people seem as bright until you hear them.0
