Level Term Insurance Plan - Is this PPI?

I would like to pursue a claim for mis sold insurance- I cant rememebr when we took out the original Insurance but I imagine it was about 1990, we took the plan out with Norwich Union- the plan was called "Level Temporary Insurance Plan" and would enable the mortgage to be paid if my husband or I died during the term of the mortgage. Subsequently, when we moved house a few years ago this policy was superseded by another level Insurance Plan with the addition of critical illness which we were recommended to take out. Unfortunately I cant find the paperwork pertaining to these policies but I have bank statements that show the money going out of the account every month. the problem is, if I decided to pursue a claim who do I contact as Norwich Union are now Aviva? Also is it worth trying to reclaim on this type of insurance as its not one that covers monthly mortgage payments? Any help gratefully received. Thanks, Emma

On what basis would you claim and what would happen if one of you died ?

Level Term insurance is not PPI. It is a sensible approach to ensuring that the mortgage can be paid off if one or the other of you die during the life of the mortgage.

Why do think it was mis-sold? Which is what you would have to prove for a complaint to be successful.

So, you did what most people do when they have a mortgage.

Again, quite normal and correct for most people.

Why do you want to complain?

Are you going to try and reclaim your car insurance and household insurance as well?

I dont understand this comment. Isn't 99.99999% of things for sale anywhere not something else?
