Problem with right to buy, help needed :(

Hi everyone I am after some information about the right to buy scheme in England.

I recently applied to buy my council home and I am really having a lot of problems with the whole process.

They made me an offer to buy my home, however they valued my home based on prices from 2010 to 2012 ,Also these properties are 4 and 5 bedroom houses ( ours is a 3 bedroom) they range from £150,000 to £180,000.

I have found 20 properties sold with they past 8 months all 2/3 bedrooms ( within 1/2 a mile radius ) and they range from £68,000 to £133,000 and quite a few on sale now for around £120,000 and they are almost identical size to mine.

Can they use prices from 2010 ? and can they compare my home to a 5 bedroom property ? Any information would be greatful :)

    Deciding to buy

You have 12 weeks after you get your landlord’s offer to tell them you still want to buy.
The landlord will send you a reminder if you don’t reply to the offer. You have 28 days to reply to the reminder, or the landlord could drop your application.
You can pull out of the sale and continue to rent at any time.

If you disagree with the landlord’s offer

Contact your landlord and tell them why.
If you think your landlord has set your home’s market value too high, you must write to them within 3 months of getting the offer and ask them for an independent valuation.

A district valuer from HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) will then visit your home and decide how much it’s worth. You have 12 weeks to accept their valuation or pull out of the sale.

However I am wondering if the quote they have give us is valid ?
    1. 4 properties used to compare prices are all larger then ours and have more bedrooms.
    2. 4 properties they used were sold in 2010-2012.
    3. It took them 14 weeks to send an offer to us ( instead of 8 weeks)
Its all very well saying go to a district valuer ( they have said this too) but should the council have got it right in the first place ?
