EON Chameleon SED pairing

Hi,

Has anyone managed to pair a new energy display with their smart meter? I have been given a new colour display which came with some instruction to pair with my EON smart meter, but I can't get it to work.

I press the blue and orange button together (on the smart meter), it then shows CODE so I enter the supplied 5 digit code. The instructions then say to press the two buttons again to enter the code but my meter seems to want a load more digits!

Anyone had any sucess with this, are there any instructions out there?

    Good morning Peter, welcome to the forums.

    I've received the email from you also, however, I can no longer send out these instructions as it's something the SMART team now need to deal with.

    They may actually need to send out an engineer to pair the meter. It will all depend.

    So if you can give them a ring, number on the website, they'll sort it all out from there for you.

  • Is anyone else able to post the instructions on how to pair a Chameleon SED V2 display unit to the smart meter? My original SED broke, but E-on couldn't supply a replacement so I've bought a new one off FleaBay.

    I've tried ringing the E-on smart team who told me it was impossible, as each SED unit was specifically manufactured to work with only one smart meter. This seems unlikely.

    I'm sorry I can't advise further that what the smart team have said.

    I'm also not able to send any instructions either as this has changed and customers need a smart team member to do this for them.
