I was looking at two very similar items from a Powerseller with an eBay shop, for the same price, and I used Buy it Now on the wrong one
I emailed the seller immediately to tell them this, and I said I would buy the other item immediately if they stopped the sale (is this even possible?) and would pay the insertion fees.
Do you think they'll let me? I haven't paid yet, and I really will buy the other one. I'm just annoyed at myself for having too many windows open (Damn you, Firefox tabs!!!). I have no negs, btw, so it's obvious I don't make a habit of this.

Can only contact him and ask. Explain what happened and I'm sure he will do his best esp if he has more than one of each. Be polite and apologise.0

He can't cancel your win as that has already happened but he could compromise and swap the item for the one you want if it is the same price.
I had a buyer do this to me once, bought one item when he actually wanted a different one, all I did was ask that he pay the small amount to cover relisting fees on the one bought in error , it was only a few pence and I cancelled the other auction (it had no bids) and sent him that instead. We even left each other positive feedback on the completed auction.
Most sellers are reasonable, hopefully someothing will be worked out.
