Most DWP offices are murder to get through to, so it's probably just a case of waiting, or seeing if they have anywhere you can email an enquiry to.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

Has his dad written to them and ended his claim?
They won't process it without that from him?0 -
As above, if the Dad is still claiming it you will have a long wait.0

If the dad is still recieving the CB you need to be making sure he passes the money over to you, and as above makesure he has notified them your son now lives with you.0

Yes the automated system does tell you to hang up but as another poster has said you need to press another button because you have had no acknowledgement and at least want to check your claim has been received and registered. Swapping CB is a long process, have you notified Tax Credits also (if you are eligible). If his father does not contact HMRC and give up his CB & CTC they will need to write to him so it could take even longer. The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. They will process it but they will need to write to him first, wait for a reply and then make a decision based on either him ignoring the letter or other new information. The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0 -
yes, we are awaiting further details from his dad regarding the benefit, and i did try another number to press lol at least i know they got my claim through and even though it might take a while, its on the go so thats all that matter now, thank goodness0
