Tetley 'years' supply of TEABAGS has just arrived....

I don't want to come across ungrateful as I really am to have won this prize but I must admit when my winnings just got delivered I was a bit surprised to see 5 bags of 80teabags for a years supply, now I admit that I probably drink more tea than the average person but that's 300teabags which works out at less than one cup a day for a year, what are other people's thoughts on this amount being a years supply? Thanks in advance for any comments

That seems a bit low - are you sure that's not 300 every quarter?
ETA - or 400... Thanks for the maths check, LadyChelington

80 x 5 = 400 teabags so that's more than one a day.

Sounds a bit of a tight prize from such a well known company though.0 -

It might be worth querying it with them as when I won the years supply from them via Facebook I received 16 packs containing 80 teabags each (16 x 80 = 1280 tebags).
I hope this helps, congratulations on your win!0 -
Ive won a years supply from them before and I would say to contact them as thats more like 3 months supply..when mine came it was in a massive box with about 32 or more packets of 80's, I think theyve made a mistake
congrats though
It's better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression that you're stupid than to open it and remove all doubt

You are so right, I really need to think before I write, Feel like a right donut now :rotfl:0 -
Thanks all, think I will send a polite email enquiring about the amount they've sent and go from their, it's been distributed and organise through wild-card so don't know if that means its a comp directly led & fulfilled via tetley or not, not sure how it works?! I won it from one of the mag dailies0

It was this daily comp here. http://comps.chatmagazine.co.uk/competition/connect_tetleytea.php0

:TCongratulations:T (They are clearly not tea drinkers, when I won 2 years supply with PG they sent vouchers for 24 boxes of 160 bags, which worked out to just over 5 bags a day for 2 years)0

The ones on twitter always looked to be bags of 160 as opposed to your 80 if that helps.Thank you to everyone who posts on the competitions boards. You all rock!0
