Are tax credits aware of your childcare costs?
my wage was coming out at sick pay rates during calculation period so i sent various wage slips for maternity allowance to DWP and thats what they decided to pay me. while workin on my normal pay of £120 a week i was paying £28 a week rent and £33 a month c tax so theres been a massive increase in what i pay out

It sounds even more ludicrous if the child in childcare is 11.
she has only just turned 11 and not yet in secondary school
  • Sorry but that doesn't really answer my question. Are tax credits aware you have childcare costs? Not DWP or your council
Hi yes they are aware , council have it tracked in the letter they sent me also
