Looking to buy 8ft wood folding patio doors and frame (i.e. the whole kit). Wickes sells veneer ones (veneer!!) for £1500, ebay has oak ones for £1400, can anyone recommend any other suppliers worth looking at?

My Mum got some from a local door shop. Nice quality. Of course all local shops will have different suppliers so can't comment across the board there, nor on price.Could HAVE. Should HAVE. Would HAVE. Not OF.0

We use Jeld Wen for our customers. Good brand but available widely. If you want a white finish, then look at the Wellington. I you want a wood finish then the Oakfold is veneer. The Canberra is a solid oak, made from three pieces, presumably to make it less prone to movement.
You can buy from many different suppliers online at different prices. You can aim for £1100ish on the Wellington, £1250+ on the Oakfold and £3000 on the Canberra.
Screwfix are competitive at the moment but there's umpteen suppliers.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I purchased a canberra from screwfix which has a veneer finish. I have now had 6 site visits from jeldwen, they have replaced 1 door because it was curved, also they have had to have a new strike plate made so the door would shut properly. The doors now have water getting in behind the veneer. Jeldwen have now agreed to replace all the doors again saying it may be a manufacturing fault.
Jeldwen have been very good but I would never have a another veneer covered external door.0
