Wouldn't like to comment to be honest.

What I would say is that when I did a quick internet search on this model (Amilo Pro V7010?) - looking for one for my wife - it came out at £470 at Misco and E-buyer. However, the strange thing is they both only have it as having a Celeron 2.53GHz processor - spec otherwise the same. I would have thought that if Fujitsu had dumped another processor into it, it would have a different model number.

    Or am I missing something?
I really must stop loafing and get back to work...

This http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/Fujitsu-Siemens_Amilo_Pro_V7010_-_P4/version.asp is a similar model but with a slightly slower processor which makes the PC World offering look a good deal. It does however come with 512MB RAM.

Just be aware though that the graphics are shared, not a dedicated graphics card. The way they show the spec "128Mb ATi Mobility 9000IGP graphics" can be quite misleading. If you are wanting this laptop to play the latest games it may not be up to the job.

I would definitely upgrade the RAM, check if this is possible on this machine though before you commit yourself. It is quite easy to do. A stick of RAM for my laptop cost around £28 a couple of months ago and prices have fallen since then.
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Father Christmas, did you end up buying this laptop? I'm thinking of getting it too and just wondered what you thought of it. It's got far better specs than anything else in the same price range at PC World which makes me think there's got to be some hidden catch.

    Cheers,

I went to buy it today but it's such a good bargain that they didn't have any left in stock! Nevermind, I bought a nice Toshiba for £100 more instead.
