Get Well Soon cards - how long do you keep them up?

Birthday cards and Mothers Day/Fathers Day - I keep them up a couple of days then chuck them. Xmas cards - take them down same time as the tree and deccys. But Get Well Soon?
To put it into context, Im not ill per se. I had an accident a few weeks ago and Im pretty much housebound, signed off work for a minimum 8 weeks. Im getting an op very shortly but Im recovering nicely.
Ive had a few cards, flowers, plants and other wee gifts to cheer me up and flowers were binned when they died, sweets were eaten ASAP! But what to do with the cards?! Keep them up until Im back at work? Like I said, I am well!

do what you like with them - if you like them, keep them, maybe in a pile on the window-sill? Then when you no longer want to keep them, sling them.0

Keep them up for ages, then if you have visitors and your house it looking a bit messy, people sympathise with you0

I hate clutter so they wouldn't stay up long in my house! Never actually had a get well card though so don't have any experience.
Get well soon though and hope the OP goes well.0 -
I have never put them out when received them.0

When my Grandad died we took them down almost straight away.
Seemed pointless keeping them up...0 -
I usually keep my cards up for a week before I take them down with the exception of xmas cards and they stay up till the tree comes down. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
