DWP & returning to work

Hi,
I recently applied for a job & have luckily got it. I have been on IB after being med retired in nov 06. I now obviously have to tell the DWP. I am guessing things will be simple enough & they will just update my record. 2 things, firstly do they automatically send me a linking ltr,( just incase things dont work out) and secondly would i qualify for a job grant payment? I ask about the link ltr as i recently had an IB50, which i filled in & cos of my 'conditions' i recieved a ltr saying they didnt want to see me for 3 yrs. Would the fact that i am going back to work create any ripples? If there is anything else i need to know before contacting the DWP please tell me! Hope stupid am I, worrying about a phonecall?

Make an appoinment to see a IB advisor at the jobcentre. You should get a jobgrant (£100) and you may get return to work credit for upto 12 months if your in a pathways to work area. The job must be over 16hrs and under 15K. you must have been on IB for 13 weeks. Although the probably cant hlp with any work related expenses they may be able to point you in the direction of someone that can (clothes, first months travel etc)

thanx for replying. I rang the dwp today & was told to get a return to work note from my GP ( even tho i have a ltr from the PCA stating they do not require anymore as they dont want to see me till 2010!) The lady on the phone said its not written anywhere which is daft! They will also pay me up to sunday 8th which is good. I didnt read this post before i rang so didnt see the bit about the pathway so maybe i will get lucky & they will automatically check it out but I did mention the link ltr & job grant. She clicked away & then said she would put an advisory note on my claim for them to look into whether i qualify for 1 none or both. I am more concerned about the link ltr to be honest, as it gives me just that bit of security should things not work out. thanx again

looks like my area doesnt do the pathways( i checked on jobcentreplus webbo) so no back to work credit. Oh well. must admit tho, it does seem to be a good idea, & gives the added incentive of a few extra quid. Thanx Kurjam for the support!!
