pregnant and JSA

Would the jobcentre change an agreement now iam 5 1/2 months pregnant the jobs and hours I agreed to are no longer suitable?

My job roles have been hotel work/cleaning for 40hr week but I cant do this any more I don't know what I should be applying for as i was looking at part time cleaning roles but the adviser told me I should look for full time.

What does your other half do? Is there any way he can help support you?

I doubt if you could change the hours although they might consider re-defining what type of hotel and cleaning work you can do.

Given it is only 6-7 weeks, I would keep on applying for the work agreed and expect to be rejected if you get to interview?

I was working before I signed on JSA but had health problems and lost my job I will recieve materneity allowance. But my health problem is why I have only been able to do certain jobs with less interaction with people(my jobcentre advoisor agreed). I cant work 40 hrs cleaning as its too physical as i have done it before I know I would struggle at the moment but I would do part time.

I have to agree with RAS, if you're 5 1/2 months so lets say 22 weeks pregnant you can go on maternity allowance from 29 weeks. I'd get the mat allowance forms filled in to go maternity leave from then. I'd also talk to the Job Centre to avoid sanctions but unless a doctor is going to sign you off they may say you're fit to look for full-time work. Others do full-time cleaning jobs whilst pregnant so just the being pregnant won't be seen as excuse enough.
Lets be honest though whats the chance of you getting a full-time cleaning job in the next few weeks when you tell the employer you're going on maternity leave at the end of April/beginning of May?

Why agree to something you can't do?

Discuss the issue with yiour advisor and see what they say.

It would affect my job roles as I mainly do manual jobs so wouldn't be able to do certain things, Most pregnant women get reduced roles at work and have extra breaks but they prob have already been working there a while so it wouldn't be an issue for them to request it. I would work maybe 20-25 hours spread over the week would mean I wouldn't need to sign on JSA any more.
