The comp is judged but you have to choose three people who have voted for you to take along with you on the trip.

Someone asked about the fairness of voting comps on their facebook page, this was the reply:

in this case we have deliberately chosen to have a panel of judges to judge the content so the winner will not be chosen on votes alone. Votes do play a part, as the winner is to choose three people from those who voted for them to come on the holiday. (ie by voting you also have a chance to go on the holiday.) So yes we will be judging on both but merit will be key.
