#are there any financial/share price websites where i can select a specific share, eg GSK or Vodafone etc and view it over a month, with the lowest and highest price of each day plotted, as 2 lines?
Hope that makes sense

Quite a few websites can have the graphs flipped into different modes. Http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com is one that's pretty flexible, and http://uk.advfn.com has lots of data and charting (may need to register for free) ; select the advanced or pro charts to get more than the basic line, then look at chart options or chart styles.
You can show "candlestick" or "open-high-low-close" bar charts which will let you see the extremes of movement on a day. For Bigcharts in particular, it's a U.S. site, so just like at Google Finance, if you were looking at GSK you'd need to use UK:GSK otherwise it will default to showing the price of GSK American Depositary Receipts listed in New York.
Similarly at advfn.com, use LSE:GSK to ensure you get the London stock exchange pricing.0
