Could some one give me a rough idea what size timber to make the frame out of. The roof will have a corrugated plastic roof.

In our last house i built a small porch in a similar position to that.
I went to a nightschool class for bricklaying 'cos i wanted to build a porch at the front but, did the back first 'cos i could keep knocking it down as a built it until i got it right, without all the neighbours seeing what a mess i was making. Once i was 'an expert' brickie i built the front.
What i did at the back like yours was a simple, built to the size of passage and with a door at each side so nobody could get into the back garden. I think the trouble you're going to have is where will your gutter go ? It looks as if next door has built up to the border but their gutter overhangs onto your property.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
