 You are doing the letters correctly yes, you've rather confused me on what you're claiming You cannot claim any o/d interest or account fee charges, You cannot claim any o/d interest or account fee charges,
 As for the interest Martins Calculator as below is a great help in calculating this for you;

 No, just start the process again from scratch, here's a list of charges you can claim;
 CAN BE CLAIMED
 Account misuse fee
 Cheque return fee
 Card misuse fee
 Unarranged borrowing fee
 Unauthorised overdraft fee
 Unpaid DD fee
 Unpaid cheque fee
 Unpaid standing order fee
 Late payment fee (credit cards, store cards, catalogues etc)
 Exceeding Authorised Overdraft Limit
 Exceeding Unauthorised Overdraft Limit
 Direct Debit/Standing Order/Cheque returned fee
 Irregular fee
 Paid refferal fee
 Total charges (HSBC personal accounts only, not business accounts)
 Then use this calculator to calculate your interest;
 http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/bank-charges#interest
 Once you've recalculated your charges and done your interest just start with the first letter again giving them 14 days,
 The reclaim bank charges help thread is very helpful for the whole process;

 You can only claim interest directly attributable to the charges. You may be as well to drop the interest off that appears on your statements (as some of this will be against your own spending that took you overdrawn) and just add on Statutory interest @ 8% (as seen on Martin's calculator) when you enter your court claim. Don't worry about your letter, as the bank is unlikely to offer you the full amount anyway.
 Also it might be worth splitting your claim into 2 periods (ie 2001-2003 & 2004-2007) so that you have 2 claims for under £5,000. This may incur a little more expense when you take it to court but it protects you under the Small Claims Rules.Got It & Spent It :dance:IKEA CARD = £120 charges = £175 received (146%)MARBLES = £450 charges = £370 received (82%)I.F. = £494 charges = £494 received (100%)CAPITAL ONE = £981 charges = £1,489.03 (152%)BARCLAYCARD = £580 charges = £786.12 (136%)On Hold :mad:A+L = £722 charges (target = 147%)BARCLAYS = £1,405 charges (target = 128%)BARCLAYS = £175 charges (target = 140%)ABBEY = £3,220 charges (target = 148%)0
