love it. screen size and processing power is everything for me when out and about. i use it a lot to take notes and keep up with social media. if there is one game the phone is made for its real racing 3, graphics are amazing."The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Thanks
Could you watch 1.5 hour film on it?
Think ill need unlimited data due to my 3G use when not at home0 -
I've got the predecessor, the Note 2, and can watch films on it just fine. However whilst traveling I use an ezcast dongle plugged into the hotel TV HDMI port and play films straight from my phone to the huge screen. Worth looking into if you travel a lot!0

Sounds good!
Do you think it'll feel too big for a phone or too small for a tablet?
Does insurance cover theft?
Is it too big for a trouser pocket & needs to be put in a bag or coat?0 -
not too big. fits in pocket. phone insurance is a waste of money imo. would hate to think how much i would have wasted if i had insured all my phones over the last 20 years. just put the premiums in a savings account"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Note2 fits just fine in a trouser pocket - it's surprisingly useable and after using a 5"+ phone you'll see iphones and the like and laugh at their tiddly screens, wondering how they cope. Go into a phone shop and have a play with one, see if you can get a dummy phone to try in your pocket. Never been any kind of problem for me.
If you're like me and want to enjoy the extra screen real estate, but feel a bit hemmed in by touchwiz (the Samsung default interface) you can install free 'launchers' (I use nova launcher, it's free) which install just like any other app, and allow you to customise just about every aspect of the interface.
I bought a 7" tablet a couple of months before my Note2 - I barely used it as the phone was capable of just about everything I used the tablet for, and then a load more too.
Insurance - depends how many phones you've had nicked in your area. I don't bother, the insurance is a bit of a swizz IMHO.0 -
went straight from original note to note 3. was going to buy note 2 as they are down to around £250 ish but decided on note 3 as it is 4g ready"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0
