Oh noes! There is a problem with my computer!

Or so the foreign sounding gentleman on the phone said when he called me.
So, I turned on the computer as he instructed. Nothing happened when he told me to press the Windows key and R, but he still had me try it a few times. Then he wanted me to press on the start menu, but I couldn't find it. So I pressed on the Applications button instead. He told me to type in eventwvr and press the enter button, but still nothing happened! He still had me do it a couple of times more though. 'Ryan' then asked me to go to a web page with a remote user software and download it, which I dutifully did, and run it. He seemed very confused when I said Archive manager had opened up, as he seemed to be expecting something else. But he had me repeat the actions a few more times. Things escalated from there, when he passed me on to his [STRIKE]accomplice[/STRIKE] supervisor.
'Kevin' correctly guessed that I wasn't running a Windows OS, so I had to say that the Linux file download he sent me to wasn't doing anything. After some more faffing around, he asked what OS I was using. "Puppy", I replied. This appeared to confuse him, and he asked again. "Puppy", I again replied. After hearing the cogs whir round in his head, he suggested I phone my internet service provider to fix my problem. :rotfl:
20 minutes of their scamming time wasted, and a little entertainment for me. :j
