I have a Tiny computer and am having various problems with it. I have a Tiny reinstall disc. However, if I use this it install many things that are a pain to remove (such as the Supanet internet connection). If I bought a Windows XP Home edition OEM disc, could I use that to reinstall windows. What sort of problems am I likely to face. Thanks.

using the disk that came with it should be easy enough, most extra's should be removeable using add/remove in control panel.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0

With an XP CD you could do a repair install. This will put back all the files required to run Windows without touching any documents, email, photos etc., although it is wise to backup these before starting. See http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm0

If you bought a WinXP OEM disk there shouldn't be any problem but IMHO you'd be wasting your money. Do as albertross suggests, unless you can borrow a friend's XP Home disk for C_M's suggestion. Note down your Product Key before attempting anything.
If you don't want to uninstall the rubbish manually you can use the PC Decrapifier (what an apt name!). What it removes - Supanet is not included but there are ways of removing it which we can talk you through. G0 -
Thanks for the advice guys. I decided to save the money and go with the Reload CD. All went fairly smoothly and have made a comprehensive set of notes on what I did and how I did it. However, I am now thinking about some drive image software such as PowerQuest Drive Image or Acronis. Any thoughts?0

You can get an ATI 10 upgrade* for £12-13 by using this link - it's a downloadable file (change currency to pound sterling). At the very least, you'll need a copy of ATI7 to upgrade from. ATI7 was given away free sometime ago - view original expired offer. I use Norton Ghost, & have not used my copy so can send you ATI7 with serial key if you like. *with possibly free upgrade to v11 if you use this link. Only trouble is, using it increases the price to £20.40!
Play is selling ATI 10 for £14.99 if you prefer a hard copy. You can get an OEM (disk only) for less on eBay - cheapest buy-it-now is £12.99 delivered.0 -
