PC World Collect @ Store Service

Well, reserved a laser printer last night. Went to pick it up today. That's as far as it got. After standing about like an idiot at the collection desk for 10-minutes I finally collared one of the guys that walks about asking people if they need help. He wandered off and came back saying, "You'll have to speak to a Sales Advisor."
At which point I just left. What a complete and total waste of my time. The item was out of stock on the display too, I looked.
What gets me is how disorganised they are. I certainly would not use the service again. A couple of months ago I reserved some DECT phones, and when I went in they had no record of the order.
Sorry if I'm sounding stressed. Afterall, it was PC-World, so really I knew what to expect anyway.

Nothing surprises me with PC world Aly...its a shop we now avoid like the plague due to the rubbish service we have had in the past!If you obey all the rules...you miss all the fun!! Katherine Hepburn0

They've always had stock in when I've done the Collect Service however on Friday I ordered a wireless router collected it no problem wasn't until I got home and opened it that I discovered it didn't contain everything it should have - turning the box over inside their was a nice preowned label, so spent yesterday returning it (70 mile round trip). Last time I buy anything from PC World.2020 Mortgage-Free Wannabes #20 £1495.03/£2760 OP0

I've had both good and bad experiences with the collect at store. The other day all was fine so we ordered again , got there 4 hours later order not picked, waited about person behind order was picked first ! While OH waited a further 10 mins I went to look for a new printer apparently they had one in stock but the one under the display had a returned item sticker on it and the box had clearly been dropped. Manager assured me they wouldn't sell it at full price etc but I told him I wasn't interested as it shouldn't be with the new stock! He showd me a completely inappropriate printer (not all in one) and then promptly walked off.
Me beig me i went on the website via my phone and spotted the better model £30 cheaper than in store and only £10 more than the one we were after ....went to manager and said to him that if he wanted a sale i'd take one at web price...he then went on line punched in my details printed off the confirmation and carried the printer to the cash desk!
all in all the saving we made on the other item we had been waiting for covered the extra £10 for the printer so we were more than happyWeight loss since 01/08/07 - 72 lbs:j0 -

I use Cartridge World for toners. They're not the cheapest but the best place for instant refilled cartridges. https://www.cartridgeworld.co.uk
The toner cartridge for my Samsung printer is £69.99 in PC World and £35 for an exchange one in Cartridge World. The man without a signature.0 -

I have bought a digi camera and a 32" tv from them in the last couple of months....I don't have a problem with reserving the stock...it's finding someone to actually serve me that's the trouble!!
There's never anyone around.....
I will look elsewhere before buying from them again.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
