Deed of Arrangement - DFD
Options
Hi all, I would be very grateful for some help / advice please.
I got a letter from Debtfree Direct dated December 2013 yesterday (1st March 2014) due to a !!!! up with royal mail; also got my car insurance documents over a month late but that is another story!
DFD have asked me to sign a Deed of Agreement which needs to be witnessed and have asked to me agree to new terms and conditions to my IVA; the letter asks me to reply within 7 days otherwise they will "assume" I want to stick with the old agreement. Obviously I haven't contacted them within their timescale; I will be contacting them tomorrow. But I have no idea what a deed of agreement is, you need to be a legal genius to be able to understand their jargon:eek:.
I don't have any assets, my PPI has already been claimed through Equity in Finance and I am two years into my IVA.

DFD have been sending out a lot of these letters at the moment, but most of the people posting here have been close to the end of their IVA. Your post suggests that DFD may be going to do this for all IVAs.
Rather than discuss it here though, it might be better to continue on this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4900361 which already has a lot of comments.0 -
Thanks longtermplanner, some good information offered on that thread. Thank youWill be debt free on 28th January 2017 :j0
