Child tax credits- other income

I pay into a share scheme with work. So I buy £40 worth of shares and they match it. These then take 3 yrs to mature. My 3 yrs is now up meaning I could in theory cash in £80 worth of shares each month if I wanted.
On my child tax credit form it asks to submit any other income.
Do I have to declare this as incom? or is it only if I choose to sell the shares for cash would I declare it?
I'm aware that dividends I have to declare as that's paid to me as cash but would I need to declare dividends paid as shares too?
Thanks
