Halifax Savings Options

I am saving some money to clear a Credit Card debt at the moment, and am putting some money into Regular Savers with HSBC and WestBrom paying 6% and 4.1% respectively. i am also saving some money into a Yorkshire account paying 1.4% and Nationwide account paying 1.7%, both Instant Access.

I would also like to save with Halifax, as i like the idea of winning their Savers Prize Draw ;), but there is nothing appealing available. I have some Halifax Rewards Current Accounts, so access would be convenient. but the best account they are offering, the Online Saver, is only paying 0.90%G on balances betweeen £1 and £19,999:(

anyone know whether they have recently pulled anything better? are they likely to come up with something more competitive?

Their rates have been diving for 18 months.

2% adult Regular Saver is about all there is.

    Woohoo.

Is the credit card debt currently interest free? Otherwise it may be better to pay off the credit card amount first and them start saving if you see what I mean

Not really saving as such but do you have reward accounts with the halifax? Could get £15 a month from them by cycling money through 3 accounts and add that to savings for the credit card (a joint account if you could do that, a single account for you and a single account for the person you have a joint acct with if possible)

Bear in mind you need to save at least £5000 to qualify for the prize draw.
