Although I agree that decent photos are very much down to the skill of the operator, having the right tools for the job can help a lot. Especially when photographing interiors, a wide angle lens will work wonders for showing rooms off to their best advantage (assuming everything else is in order, e.g. clean, tidy, uncluttered etc).
I am a hobby photographer with a wide angle lens for my DSLR. My house went on the market in October and the EA took photos (with a DSLR and wide angle lens) on the day I signed up. It was pretty obvious that she didn't really know what she was doing with the camera so I politely asked if I could take them myself with my camera (with her advice regarding angles etc to show the best range for the brochure). I took the pics, tarted them up a bit with my rudimentary editing skills, then emailed them through that evening. The house sold within a week (although I'm not suggesting this was all down to photos!) and had a lot of interest.
If an EA was trying to take interior pics without a wide angle lens I definitely wouldn't be happy. I personally think it's an essentialy piece of kit for an EA, even if they just keep the camera on "auto" mode.
Do you have any friends into photography who would take the photos for you? It could be a good option if you have no joy with the camera club.0 -

BTW, you can post the RIghtmove link/ref. no here for helpful but robust feedback on your house.
Hi.
They said it was in the 'top performers' but I guess they would say that
I did think about posting a link but a but worried about posting my house on the Web. I'd be happy to PM anyone the link though. :-)0 -

Agreed.
OP, actually sounds like you are doing rather well for viewings. It us a "quiet" time of year (although should pick up fast): honestly, just hang in there
Thank you! It is just that i've finally made the decision to move and so want to get on and do it now. I must learn patience.
