My fixed rate energy deal is due to end at the end of the month, I've already done a price comparison and am considering the options available to me but wondered when the energy companies release new fixed rate deals, particularly Scottish Power.
Thanks

If you look at the comparison sites you'll see that some deals are only available for a month or so before they are superceded so it's impossible to know when one will be dropped and another more expensive one will take it's place. The actual suppliers will only tell you what their current offering is, but the comparison sites allow you to see the hundreds of previous tariffs that have been available and may still be in existence but not available to new applicants - EG a April 2014 fix won't be available but is still currently in force until it expires.
So hanging on just in case a cheaper one gets offered is probably a waste of time because they usually go up rather than downNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
The more recent short term fixes have been cheaper rather than more expensive. Impossible to predict when tariffs are withdrawn and introduced.0
