Buyer will not pay

Hello
I have recently sold an item and the ebayer has messaged me saying that their son clicked on the bid so and she doesn't want the item. This is a total joke as the bid was made in the last few seconds.
I now have a small eBay fee about £2.50 that I do not want to be billed for. It is already showing up on by balance due.
How do I contact eBay and ask them to remove this. The process seems really long and as they have stated they do not intend to pay, surely this can be dealt with quickly
Any advice will be great.

You need to go through the non-paying bidder process. It only takes a few clicks, then wait a week or so. Presuming the buyer doesn't respond, then click again to close the case and receive a refund on your fees. I've unfortunately had to do this for a couple of auctions recently and was pleased that it was easy to do, although you do have to wait a short while.0

Once you've started on the non paying bidder process, be sure to put this bidder in your blocked list. You don't need people like this attempting to bid on any more of your items. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Go to the resolution centre.
Open a case for non payment. You can do this 2 days after the buyer won the item. 4 days later, close the case and your fees will be reimbursed. Be careful to select the option which shows you did not complete the transaction and you want to end communication with the buyer. This will only appear exactly 4 days after you open the case.

Thanks for the information.
Ebay will not let me raise a case yet, so I will wait until the required time. Is there any reason I cannot re list the item now? Want to sell asap and seeing as the buyer has confirmed they are not paying I cant see any problem in doing this.0 -
Also what would you advise I do about feedback? I want to leave then -ve foodback but am worried they will do the same just to get even (I am 100% over about 150items since the year 2004). But I dont think they should just get away with this kind of behavior.0

DO NOT leave a feedback with negative comment.
Open the non paying case (not a cancellation) on day 2 and close it 4 days later. The buyer will get a strike. Two strikes and they are effectively unable to bid any longer.0 -

You can't leave negative feedback for a buyer, no matter how bad.
The best course of action is the Non Paying Bidder case and the subsequent strike that they will receive.0 -

Why "Cant" I leave a negative?0 -
Sellers haven't been able to leave anything other than positive feedback for years.
If you leave a negative comment, the strike may not stand and you run the risk of a serious policy violation and perhaps account restrictions.
Do the NPB.0 -
The system only allows you to leave a positive.0
