I don't think they help you with benefits for a few months if you give up work i was thinking of doing the same but it just won't pay to do it. You will get behind on rent and prob end up living on your child tax and child benefit for months. I keep trying to read online to see if anyone has actually done it but can't see anything.0

but working at somewhere where while its good work and I enjoy the work but its not a good place for me anymore, isn't working. There are jobs out there and I can use child care etc so do I leave and hope for the best?

I know the feeling my hours are out of school hours even though i work only 18 hours and get 70 per cnt help with childcare its still costly compared to my wages after transport because my hours are out of schoolWell I did think there would be issues with benefits. I would still be actively looking for work because I'm not convinced I'd like being home all day. At the moment my wages and benefits don't cover what needs paying. My children need clothes etc and I pay for child care.
So are my options more hours but ones that don't need childcare but more wages or less hours and some childcare but more benefits??
Do I take the risk of handing in my notice now and hoping that I'll have found another job by the time my month is up?
Thanks for all the reading too.

Do you pay for childcare at present?
I pay for childcare, I work as average 23 a week. I earn 588 a month.0 -
As above have you checked you are claiming everything you are entitled to? you should be able to get some help with childcare.0

I get help with childcare, working tax credits etc. I'd be happy doing 16 hours a week tbh.0
