Sky - unable to send email.

I have been moved from o2 to Sky ISP.
Since Fri i have been unable to send pop3 emails. I have changed smtp credentials from o2 to smtp.tools.sky.com.
Skys help webpage only succeded in obtaining account detals and pairing this with a sky yahoo account (not what i went online for).
Their phone help is useless - gave up after being on hold for ages.
Anyone suggest how i can send emails throgh Skys servers? Am i using the wrong credentials?
I have pretty much setup as http://help.sky.com/email/set-up-sky-yahoo-mail/get-emails-on-your-windows-desktop-client#!mail but using existing pop3 credentials (recieving mail is not the issue).
I can recieve ok, I am unable to send using 02 or Sky credentials.
