    Morning all,

Beautiful spring day here sunny and blowy so I have one load on the line and another in the wm. Got 4 loads almost dry yesterday.

Dinner tonight will be beef casserole which I will get into the sc after this I will do a veggie version for dd.

I think later on OH and I will get little dog out for her walk, there is a great vantage point locally where you can look over flood waters, so I might take my camera and see if I can get some good shots.

Yesterday afternoon two little girls came knocking on the door (they were from up the road) they were selling cakes for cancer research, my soft OH opened the door and 'bought' two of the smallest cakes ever for £4 ! he is such a softie, he said the girls had a tin absolutely full of cash, I do hope it will get sent to its intended place, the cakes were rock hard too :rotfl:

Right better get on have good days all xx

Good Morning everyone, well I had a lovely evening at the 21st party and saw lots of old friends as well as the birthday boy.
Got home at 1.15 a.m. (dirty stop out :):):))
DD and I managed to get her tow old armchairs up to the tip and a smashing young man who was built like the proverbial outhouse help dispose of them for us.She gets her sofa's this morning via a man with a van from her big sisters house:):) so it will be a posh afternoon in her house with the boys being very careful not to drop anything on the new stuff :):) (it won't last :):))
I am just going to potter around this morning and maybe feet up and do some knitting, then off to DDs for dinner late this afternoon.
Beautuful and sunny here at the moment and the bulbs are going mad in the garden,so nice to see some sun even if its a bit of a chilly wind.
Have a great day everyone what ever you are doing
    Cheers JackieO xxx

    Morning all,

well I did get to do everything I wanted to yesterday and I have a brand new shiny mirror in display on my living room wall. The reason I got everything done what I wanted was because we took our Grandson with us. That's the only way we could fit it all in. Hubby decided he wanted to go and have a look at the motor he wants to buy again and I wanted to too as I'm not totally happy with the seating arrangement. Seeing it, I'm still not totally happy with the seating arrangement but I only go out with him on weekends and he has to use it for work during the week. As it will be an added expense, I am trying to talk him into selling our beloved caravan. Its beautiful, it really is but we just don't use it and its costing over £500 a year in storage fees plus the insurance which cost £200 last year.

    List of jobs for today.

Girls need more than a good grooming, the clippers come out today.

Change the light above the front door. The old one gives off as much light as candle power would.

[strike]Change the plug on the clock radio in our bedroom as the top 'thing' has broke off and I cant plug it in the wall.[/strike]

Fortunately hubby is in a good mood today and is very agreeable. It makes life so much easier when he's in a good mood.

Hope you have a good day all,

Big pile of dd1s ironing done . Ready to go back to uni later. She's feeling a lot better with the antibiotics but still got a nasty cough .

LW There was a trainee guide dog labrador puppy at the party last night. He had been brought there to get him used to that sort of situation.
I bet he was getting loads of attention! We often see trainee assistance dogs of various sorts in the shopping centre, for just the same sort of reason.:o
Made some dog treats yesterday and they love them so more pennies saved there.
Could I possibly trouble you for the recipe? Pretty please?:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Here you go LW

    Ingredients:

2 cups whole wheat flour (you can use another type of flour if your dog is sensitive to wheat)
    1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup peanut butter, chunky or smooth (I used smooth this time)
    1 1/4 cups hot water
    Instructions:

    Preheat oven to 350° F
    Mix dry ingredients together.

Mix in the peanut butter and hot water. You may need to add more flour if the dough is too sticky.

    Knead the dough well.
Roll out the dough into 1/4" thickness and cut into shapes with dog cookie cutters.

Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet for 40 minutes....keep an eye on them as one batch was not as thick and only took 20 minutes.
    Bright Blessings xx

Grey, dismal and damp here today, this weather is really dragging my mood down :(

I have lost my Birth certificate and have spent hours looking for it, the last time I saw it was on the dining table after DD had photocopied it for me to send off for my blue badge.
It looks like I will have to order a new one from the registrar, it will cost £28 though, I know because DD has just had to get a copy of hers and then the original turned up animated-smileys-rolleyes-10.gif

I have just made three casseroles one is for dinner with roasties and kale and the other two are for freezing (I got them out of the oven an hour ago so they don't ruin when they are reheated.)

Better go and get the plates warmed as it is nearly ready.

    Afternoon all,

LW - Those biscuits look good, I know they are for your dog but I think I'd rather enjoy them too :)

    Well isn't it windy today?

We have moved our caravan from the storage site it's been in for years to it's new home on a country farm site. It will make our life easier as we now only have to pull it out from storage and onto the site. We are terrible about deciding whether to go away and where, so this will hopefully mean we will use the van more.

DS2 has gone to my dad's to watch football. He loves the fact grandad subscribes to the sky sports channels!

We have pork and apple stew done in the slow cooker with dumplings for dinner tonight.

Have a good evening all :)
