thanks for this but the thing is tesco cannot redeem these coupons. these book coupons can get the SA in trouble, once they r warned by their manager, they will be very skeptical or refuse to scan any coupons in future. how many happy scanners in a store? i think their number are getting less and less. a happy scanner worths hundreds of pound to each of us, so losing them means costing us a lot more than the face value of these £4 coupons.

so instead of using one of these, maybe use 2 x marie clarie ones? they won't get SA in trouble, so they will be continued to happy scan for us each week every week.

Are these vouchers valid in Sainsburys, does anyone know?

I ask because Sainsburys seem to still have their buy 2 for £7 offer still on, on paperbacks. Last month I desperatley wanted the Bill Bryson one so I used my coupon from the daily Mail and also got the Terry Wogan one, along with my other shopping, just paid the £3 extra for the 2nd paperback. WHSmith would not take it but it scanned Ok in sainsburys.

Vellum can they not redeem the ones out of the paper itself then. I didn't realise they couldn't be redeemed and do try to make a point of using only ones they can redeem

tesco is not a member of the book club thing, so whether the book coupon is from newspaper or internet print off, they can't redeem. some MSErs already got into trouble with these.

i used a couple of these some time ago but stopped as soon as i know they may get my fav SAs in trouble, out of self preserve reason, i would really like to have those SAs continue to scan all my coupons every week. now i use magazine marie clarie glamour coupons and they keep me under radar and my SAs continue to happy scan.

I was thinking of trying it in whsmith as am starting a PGCE in Sept and need to get some books. Has anyone tried it in a shop yet and managed to get it to scan? I couldn't use the last ones that I printed as they would not scan on the tills.

I have had a local tesco supervisor agree that these are OK to use and she has happily accepted mine

Depending who you get and what mood they're in my teso will only take non internet coupons to 50% of your shopr OR max 4 coupons, but in that case they will take internet. (but no duplicates or either)

I always go for the first handing over loads of (usualy small value) manufacturers coupons, but have a few of these in the back of my purse incase they're in the mood for the 2nd rule that day.

cs refused to give me their policy in writting, but sugested i e-mail and then they're ignoring the 'number/value of coupons' question.
